Sta-Lok mechanical fittings are hand fitted rather than machine swaged and can be fitted on site using simple hand tools. The Sta-Lok terminal works under constant loading and variable shock loading, making it stronger than the wire rope fitted for the terminal. All Sta-Lok Terminals are reusable, manufactured from Type 316 stainless steel, and have a long life span.

Please note that mechanical terminals should be installed by experienced persons familiar with Sta-Lok's assembly instructions. Sailing Services supports educated do-it-yourself sailors if you are confident and understand the rigging process. Many of our do-it-yourself customers, with continuous rigs, order their rigging with a swaged terminal at the top of the mast and a Sta-Lok mechanical fitting for the bottom so they can fit the rigging on site.
