Tylaska trigger release snap shackles are meticulously designed using both computer software and actual “make and break” laboratory prototyping for real verifications. Tylaska's patented mathematical curvature of the release mechanism allows their shackles to be opened easily-even under tremendous loads.
Tylaska shackles are machined and constructed in Mystic, CT USA and made to near-military specification. Every single snap shackle is individually tested to half its breaking strength and then released under load. Components are further tested in a salt water environmental chamber to qualify for proper corrosion resistance and to safeguard against iron contamination. Hand buffing and individual inspection of every part makes each shackle almost a piece of jewelry you can be proud to have on your boat.
We offer six different sized snap shackles ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 pounds in breaking strength. Each size can be ordered with either a standard, large or clevis bail giving from 5,000 to 50,000 pounds in breaking strength.
