New England Ropes' Spec-Set is a double braided construction consisting of a core of Spectra fiber contained within a braided polyester jacket. The strength member core design utilizes the exceptional performance properties of Spectra to develop extremely high tensile strength and very low elongation.

Spec-Set is flexible and renders well around pulleys, drums and capstans. The rope is easy to splice using a modified version of the standard double braid splice.
